Week of June 3-7, 2019

Hello Families!
I can't believe it's June. This has been an incredible year working with your kids, and although I'm looking forward to summer vacation, I am sad to see this school year end.

Here is what we have coming up:

Important Dates

Tuesday, 6/4: Phoebe Hearst Skate Night at The Rink on Bradshaw, 6-8 pm.

Thursday, 6/6: Kindergarten Sports Day, 8:30-10:00. Kids can wear athletic free dress on this day. Please send your child with a water bottle, and hat, and sunscreen on.

Monday, 6/10: Phoebe teachers vs. 6th graders kickball game, 8:30. Come out and cheer for the teachers if you're free!

Tuesday, 6/11: Kindergarten Play Day, 9-12. Thanks for all of the donations and for signing up to help! If you're donating materials, snacks or waters you can bring them to room 4 any day before 6/7. If you signed up to help set up, please meet at room 4 at 8:00 on Tuesday.
If you haven't signed up to help, it's not too late! Please check out the sign up posters in the kinder yard.
Finally, even if you're not helping in the morning, please come for the family picnic at 11:00. Bring lunch and a blanket for you and your family and we will eat on the grassy area near the baseball fields.

Thursday, 6/13: Last day of school. I will send report cards home with your child on Thursday.

Language Arts
This week we will focus on the long e sound and its spellings. The kids will be writing pages for their kinder memory books.

Math
We will continue working on numbers to 100.

Everything's coming home!
Please be sure to have your child empty his or her backpack every day over the next couple of weeks. I'll be sending home work each day.
